Cookie Policy
1. About this policy
This policy explains how idash Software Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on www.idashsoftware.co.uk, what they do, how long they last and how you can manage your choices. Please read it alongside our Privacy Notice.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device by websites you visit. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags and scripts that store or read information on your device. They can be used to make a website work, keep it secure, remember choices or measure how it is used.
3. Our approach
We keep this to a minimum. Strictly necessary technologies run without asking, because the website can’t work properly or securely without them. The only optional technology we use is Google Analytics, and it stays off until you choose “Accept analytics”. “Reject analytics” is just as easy, and rejecting doesn’t stop you using any part of the website.
We don’t use advertising, social media tracking or preference cookies. Our fonts are served from our own website, not from a third party.
4. Cookies used on this website
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cookieconsent_status |
idash Software (first party) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don’t ask on every page. | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
_ga |
Google Analytics (first-party cookie set by Google) | Distinguishes visitors so we can count visits and see how the website is used. | Analytics (only with consent) | 2 years |
_ga_XQ4BTKZSP5 |
Google Analytics (first-party cookie set by Google) | Keeps track of the current visit for the same purpose. | Analytics (only with consent) | 2 years |
If you reject analytics after accepting them, we switch Google Analytics off and delete its cookies from your browser.
5. Other third-party services
These services don’t set cookies on our website, but they do receive information from your device:
- Cloudflare delivers and protects the website. Like any web server, it receives your IP address and browser details when you load a page.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that contact form submissions come from a person rather than a bot. It only loads once you start using the form, and it is strictly necessary to protect the form from spam and abuse. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy information.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us overall visitor statistics without using cookies or identifying individual visitors. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Google Analytics (only if you accept) receives information about your visit. See Google’s privacy policy.
6. Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or with this button:
Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything collected before you withdrew it. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although browser controls vary and may not cover every similar technology.
7. Keeping your choice
Your choice is stored in the cookieconsent_status cookie in your browser for 12 months. After that, or if we add new optional technologies or change how we use them, we will ask you again.
8. Changes and contact
We review this policy and the cookies on the website regularly, and whenever the website, our providers or the law changes. If you have questions, email [email protected], marked for the attention of the Data Protection Contact.
